Privacy Policy for Finanly

This Privacy Policy describes how Five Pets Dev ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information in the Finanly mobile application (package: com.fivepets.finanly).

1. Local Storage and Data Privacy

Finanly is a local-first application. We believe your financial data should remain private and under your control.

Local Database: All financial transactions, budget goals, and categories you input are stored exclusively on your device's internal storage using a Room Database.
No Cloud Sync: We do not operate servers. Your financial information is never transmitted to us or any third-party cloud provider.
Encryption Status: Please note that the local Room database is not encrypted by the application. The security of your data relies on your Android device’s built-in security features (such as screen locks and file system encryption).
No Accounts: You are not required to create an account or provide an email address to use the app's features.

2. Information Collection via Third-Party Services

While we do not collect your personal financial data, we use specific third-party services to ensure the app's technical health:

Firebase Crashlytics (Google): When the app encounters a technical error or "crash," an anonymous report is sent to Google's servers. This report includes technical details (device model, Android version, and stack traces) but does not include your financial data or personal identity. We use this strictly for debugging and app maintenance.
Google Play Services: Required for the basic operation of the app and updates via the Play Store.

3. Biometric Authentication

Finanly offers the option to secure the app using Android's native Biometric Prompt (fingerprint or facial recognition). Five Pets Dev does not have access to, nor stores, your biometric data. The authentication process is managed entirely by the Android Operating System, which only returns a success or failure result to the app.

4. App Permissions & Background Tasks

Notifications: We use WorkManager to schedule local reminders for your budgets. This logic runs entirely on your device and does not track your behavior.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Since we do not collect or host your data, we cannot delete it remotely. You have absolute control over your information:

You can delete all data at any time by clearing the app storage in your Android System Settings or by uninstalling the application. Once deleted, this information cannot be recovered as we do not keep backups.

6. Children's Privacy

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

7. International Compliance

This policy is designed to comply with global privacy standards, including the CCPA (USA) and regional data protection laws in Latin America. We do not sell your data.
